We are thrilled to announce that the Fremont Center for the Arts is moving to a new location at 523 Main Street, Canon City, CO! This transition marks a significant milestone for us, and we want to keep you informed about what’s happening.

Our new space is under renovation and we appreciate your understanding as we focus on creating a welcoming space in our new home.

April Student Art Exhibits

Fremont Center for the Arts is excited to present two upcoming student art exhibits that showcase the incredible talent of young artists from Canon City Schools and Florence Junior/Senior High School. These exhibits provide an opportunity for the community to celebrate and support the creativity of local students.

Canon City Schools Student Art Exhibit at City Hall
From April 4-25, 2025, Canon City City Hall will host a diverse collection of artworks from students across the Canon City School District, ranging from Elementary through High School. The exhibit will be open to the public during regular City Hall hours, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The grand opening reception will take place on Friday, April 4, 2025, from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM, where attendees can celebrate the artworks and enjoy refreshments.

Florence Junior/Senior High School Student Art Exhibit at the John C. Fremont Library
From April 3-17, 2025, the John C. Fremont Library will host an exhibit of artwork created by students from Florence Junior/Senior High School. This display will be open to the public Monday through Friday from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The opening reception is scheduled for Thursday, April 3, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 5:00 PM, offering another opportunity to engage with the artwork and celebrate the student’s creative achievements.

Both events offer a fantastic opportunity to celebrate the talent and hard work of Fremont County’s youth. We invite everyone to attend and support these budding artists!
