For the seventh year in a row, in partnership with the Federal Bureau of Prisons and the Creative

Arts Platform (CAP), the Fremont Center for the Arts proudly presents the latest prison art series

titled "Art the Hard Way: Lightning Storms and the Meadow." This latest installment delves into

the juxtaposition of confinement and freedom, adversity, and hope. In the depths of incarceration

and from the strokes of their brushes, they transport us to meadows of possibility where the spirit

is free to roam. Each piece tells a story of resilience and redemption, showcasing the beauty that

can blossom even in the toughest environments.

Join us as we navigate the lightning storms of adversity and emerge into the boundless meadows

of artistic expression, where every stroke is a testament to the determined human spirit.

The artwork for sale was created this past year by incarcerated individuals at the Administrative

Maximum Penitentiary (ADX Supermax) at FCC Florence. Due to the nature of security, all

participating individuals’ names have been removed from public view.
